Here We Go Again.

With the pups gone it was quiet enough for me to sleep in this morning instead of getting up at dawn. I LOVE to sleep in and my bed is very comfy! I even have my own pillow.

I was still very tired today despite sleeping in until 8am. I had to get up and get ready to go to the hospital to do my pet therapy rounds. I could barely keep my….eyes ….open….zzzzzzzz.

When I got home, another Golden showed up! What the???!! It was just starting to quiet down around here.

This is Chloe. We think she is about 5 years old. She certainly has the energy of a young dog. She was rescued from a city shelter when her owner dumped her there. The poor girl is a little stressed out right now  and I don’t blame her one bit. In fact I’ve been down that road myself so I can sympathize even if I was lucky enough to skip the shelter part and be fostered in my eventual forever home.

I showed her around the yard, thinking she might relax a little with all the grass instead of a cage.

It turns out she loves to play. She’ll go get whatever you throw but sometimes she wants to play keep away instead of giving it back.

She got the zooms with the baby octopus stuffie. I think she had some extra energy saved up from all that time in the cage.

Chloe is very affectionate and loves to give big, slobbery kisses (I’m more of a cuddler myself). She likes to be petted and scratched and would do well with an active family (maybe someone who likes to jog) with not too small kids (she might knock them over) and maybe a young dog to play with. She seems to be housebroken and knows “sit” and “Chloe come.” If you think you or someone you know would give Chloe a Great home please contact the Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue.

  2. Hi Spencer! I love your sleepy picture where you’re too tired to open your eyes. :) Chloe has beautiful coloring. I don’t know if i’ve ever seen one as dark as her. You’re such a good boy and I know you’ll be a great brother to her too! Did Sunny find a home too?
