One of my blog readers, Eva, has a wonderful site alilsumptinsumptin that features her original handmade jewelry. Recently she made a necklace dedicated in memory of Ben & Jerry. My human mom has admired Eva’s work for some time and couldn’t resist the beautiful necklace which also would carry a lot of sentimental value for us. Even better, 100% of the proceeds are being donated to rescue through Eva’s PAWS FOR A GOOD CAUSE, which she started In honor of her two golden retrievers, who were both shelter dogs. The necklace came right away in the mail and was very nicely packed with a dog theme.
The box tells about the necklace and the dedication to the Golden pups Ben & Jerry.
There’s a lot of love represented in this bone.
And a surprise package came for me the next day!
It was also packaged very nicely and had my name on it.
Inside was a beautiful bone charm for my collar.
I tried it on right away…can you see it? Come closer….
There it is! The color looks GReat on me! Thank you very much Eva! I’m a very stylish dog now, BOL!

On another note, we are so terribly sorry about Ben and Jerry. We just found out becuase our human has been in the hosptial and offline for the last month. We cried though when we read about it. We are thinking of you and the pups and hope you have happy memories.

You just keep adding to your coolness. We might need to investigate further about acquiring such “bling” for our Mom (Jingle Bells, etc) or maybe even for ourselves. We will always remember Ben & Jerry and what you and your peeps did for them; it is a memory burnt into our souls.
