The other day the humans had a meeting in Santa Monica and I got to tag along. After the meeting we went for a walk along the bluffs by the beach. I was eager to go and smell all the ocean air.
The beach was very quiet. In tourist season it gets very busy. It looks pretty when no one is there. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on even one tiny part of the beach. That’s just mean!
I like to lead…and that doesn’t make me a bad dog contrary to what anyone says. I know when to stop and stay and I don’t pull. I’m just happy to see new things.
We walked through lots of palm trees.
After all that walking we went for breakfast at a little French crepe cafe called Acadie. This is a very nice little cafe and they make very tasty crepes! I was happy to sit on the patio and smell all those tasty crepes.

My human dad had a buckwheat crepe full of fresh strawberries and garnished with chocolate and whipped cream…mmmmm! I got a little taste of the whip cream and some cheese from my human mom’s croissant.
After our breakfast, we went for a stroll down the Third Street Promenade. It has lots of shops and restaurants and is usually very busy but it was early so I had lots of room to explore. I enjoyed all that ocean air and had a good nap back at the studio.

Looks like a fun day spencer. Finn loves the promenade and the bluffs too, usually there are tons of other dogs out there to meet too.
Also, if you are careful and don’t go in the summer you can get on the beach down there without many problems. We did it on Christmas Eve and had a great time. A dog as cute as you would have no problems talking your way out of it even if someone did see you.

SPENCER – We’d love to go to the beach; we think. Dad says that it’s a t lot like our lake but a lot bigger and the water has bigger waves and has salt in it . Do they put the salt in to melt the snow and ice in Santa Monica? That’s what we use salt for on the front steps and walk. We loved your sun glasses picture, that was way cool. Do you know that kid in the Advantage commercials? You know, the “there ain’t no bugs on me” kid. Do you know Cooper from that “Because I said so” movie? Abby thinks he’s cute. You must know lots of famous dogs and people. Well, keep us posted on your adventures; we liked your trip to the desert. We like desert but usually only get it after dinner.
