New Camera.

Today I am  very happy because we got a new camera!   It’s a Canon SD800 IS and it is very small but has a lot of really nifty features. So I hope our pictures get better now.  This evening we had to  test it out. Of course I had to pose with the three balls in my mouth,  which had to be the first shot!

Then we checked out some of the manual features. It has a mode to emphasis one color, which makes for some interesting shots.

Then we took it for a test drive on our evening walk which, camera or no camera, I am always ready  for that. Let’s go!

We took some pictures of the trees in our neighborhood. My human mom has a thing for palm trees, especially the really tall ones. She says they are just one of the things that make Los Angeles great.

Look at the size of this tree…its huge…lots trunk to pee on…

After all that walking I came home and sat on the front porch to watch the flock of rogue parrots in the big tree in front of our house.

  1. Wow, that’s a great camera!!! Congratulations. New toys are soo great. Love the new pics. What kind of camera did you have before???

My Mum got an Olympus Camedia C-60 in 2005 the spring after she got me. We still love it. Has a nice shutters peed for some action, and takes small movies too. But we want one of those cool SLR’s someday, oh yeah, and a vid camera too! Will it ever stop!

  2. Spence, you make that camera look some kindof fine!! Love the palm tree shot…they try to make the cell towers look like palm trees, not so good..bol.. we need to see some action shots and get a feel for the shutter speed… the three tennis ball is your claim to fame!!
    happy picture taking..your buddy

  3. Love the photo with the 3 tennis balls!

My “new” camera is a Canon SD750 – small and compact with too many features. Still trying to figure them all out…

    Keep up the great work!

  4. Oooooooo… we use an older Canon Digital Elph, but have been getting more and more unsatisfied with its shutter delay, not to mention admiring how much thinner & more easily pocketable the new ones are. Now you’ve done it! :)

p.s. Great pictures of Spencer! Obviously not a product of JUST the camera!

  5. Spencer you are one handsome lad. The last photo on the brick porch is my favorite. Why did you have so many balls in your mouth at one time? My husband, Joe said maybe someone, yoohoo, placed them there. I told him perhaps you did it yourself. Who is correct? Why don’t you stop by for a little visit and tell me in my shout box. Take care. Oh, I like the camera. Very good shots.

  6. Hi, Spencer.
Nice pictures! I think your new camera works pretty well! My mom needs a new camera too but she is not sure about which one.
    Have a nice day
