This weekend was a busy weekend for me. We started off with hiking in the Brand Trails in the Verdugo Mountains. I like it here because it’s very peaceful and there are lots of good smells.
The trails start out at Brand park and get rugged quite quickly. There are also good mountain bike trails here too but my paws don’t reach the pedals. I like to scout out the trail ahead of the humans.
Sometimes I hear noises in the bushes and have to investigate.
It’s a good hike so we take regular breaks for me to rest and have some water. I even have my own water bottle. Here I am resting ion the bank of what normally is a creek but it is dry now because of the drought this year.
I caught a lot of wildlife scents and I point when that happens. Then I go and try and find whatever made the scent. It was a great hike and I slept really well that night!
I sooo wish we had a place to hike off leash, it looks like soooo much fun! Can you say envious! Woofs, Johann

Glad to know that you had a great weekend! Sure you enjoyed your hikking! I just can imagine all the scents to sniff there! If I get tired with my normal walking I suppose you ended your day really tired!

Wooow, did you really hike on a mountain? I love going hiking too especially off-leash. I can go searching for weird animals & running up & down freely!
