Titus-2 months update

_DSC0008 - Version 2

Today is Titus’ 2 month anniversary of being in our foster care. The search for his forever home continues and he is happily waiting for just the right family. Titus is a very gentle 2 year old and loves attention. I think he would be a very good candidate for a therapy dog.

As long as he gets in a couple of large walks and a lot of pets he’s happy to hang out with you during the day. He seems to be responding well to the medication for his Addison’s disease and it’s very easy to give him the tiny pills twice a day. He has gained 3 pounds and we’re working on putting more weight on him. His favorite things are food, pets, being brushed and going places. He knows “sit”, “stay” “wait” “leave it” “paw” (as in shake a) comes when you whistle for him and we’re working on his “down”. With some serious training he could be excellent… we tend to spoil him, er, um, and be a little lenient. He likes other dogs but hasn’t shown very much interest in playing with them…he’s one of those “people” dogs. He wants to chase cats. Titus is very gentle with children but may knock over really small ones accidentally (he’s a big guy). If you think you can give Titus the perfect forever home and live in Southern California, please contact Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue.

  1. Hummmmm, looks like no hip problems and no shortage of cuteness either. At least Titus has it pretty cushy having a couple of pushover foster parents watching out for his every need. Make sure that all the adoption information concerning Titus meets the truth test by clearly stating that he is a spoiled rotten Golden Retriever dutifully spoiled by two of the best, and nicest, spoiler foster parents not just in LA LA Land, but in the entire world.

  4. Im so happy to hear that Titus is doing so well. I laughed out loud at the froggy doggy picture. Benson lays like that too and it cracks me up, must be a Golden thing.

So glad he is in your care and that you are showing him the love and patience that he deserves. :)

  5. Titus-
You look so comfy at your foster digs. Hang in there and the right peeps will come along. Until then enjoy your turkey burgers and getting spoiled.
