The Joy of Being

kona 033

Dogs know how to live, really live it up and enjoy life like no one else on the planet. One of the reasons I love dogs is because they are the epitome of what a good person should be…happy, carefree, loyal and loving. Having a dog in your house is a constant reminder to be a better person, to live a better life. Dogs do not spend the day freaking out or holding grudges. They don’t play mind games, they show you how they feel with a hand nudge or a goofy grin. They don’t worry or get road rage; they stick their snouts out the window and take a deep breath, enjoying all the scents (both good and smelly) on the breeze. Even dogs that have come out of the worst imaginable situations, can make the most out of the tiniest thing. Dogs live every moment to it’s fullest and I love this about them. We could learn a lot from dogs. I know I have and I thank each and every pup for sharing that with me:)

  1. You are so right, there is nothing like a dog to teach us and remind us of how to laugh, live and love.

  2. Right now we are living a life without a dog and let me tell you…its just not right…something so elementary is missing.

  4. Oh, so true. Dogs have no agendas, hidden or otherwise. Dogs are obedient to who they are. They never try to be someone they aren’t. They love unconditionally and respond with their hearts to our hearts. They care not what we look like physically, clothed or unclothed. Dogs love us, give us second chances, always willing to forgive, all bad is forgotten when we aren’t cheerful. They make everything better for us because they see our heart.
You are so right, if only we all could take a lesson from these sweet loves and try to uphold their standards.

  5. We feel we can’t dare to comment that absolute truth you brougth us through this post, Michelle.

you’re right, they live life to the fullest, enjoy every single moment,
and be contented with the simplest joy.
the earth is a better place because of our dogs.
