Jail

Nikon D60 : 16mm : shutter 1/40: aperture f /7.1: ISO 800

Urban exploration with Kona at the old Los Angeles zoo site in Griffith Park. Kona was more than happy to demonstrate how small the cages were back before they built the  new zoo in 1965. Unlike the poor animals who were trapped in these cages, Kona was out a minute after this photo was taken.

  1. Gruesome…the way in which humans were allowed to treat other animals…and really not so long ago this was considered okay.

BTW…this is a pretty fancy blog layout thing you guys got goin’ here. Mine seems so pathetic compared to yours.

Oh well, glad Kona and you guys are having fun outings together. Great photo.

    • You’re right, the cages are horribly small. I crawled in the bear cage and it was very claustrophobic. Glad you like the new layout, it seems to work good for photos which I was hoping for. Thanks for dropping by.
