Foster Kobe-Day 10

Our foster Kobe has been with us 10 days now and we are getting to know him better each day.

Kobe is a big homebody and is a bit agoraphobic, he does not enjoy going on walks and is the first dog we have encountered who doesn’t like roaching on the lawn. We are working with Kobe to help him understand walks are a good thing by taking very short excursions with plenty of treats and encouragement.

This week  we made big progress and now Kobe will hang out on the patio with us. I am introducing him to all the birds and squirrels in the yard, who provide entertainment.

Kobe has decided his 2 favorite places are the kitchen (lots of tasty treats there!) and the sofa, where he is very happy to cuddle up with you.

Kobe is a very sweet dog who adores people and thinks life is best when he’s with them. I suspect he would make a great therapy dog. He is very well behaved when he comes to work with me and loves getting pets from everyone who comes through the studio.

If you live in the greater Los Angeles area and think you might be the perfect fit for Kobe or another Golden in need, please contact The Golden Retriever Club of Greater Los Angeles Rescue.

  1. His feet are adorable.
I also love that black spot on his tongue. They are known as a “Place Treats Here” spot.
And as always, the photography is spectacular.

  2. awww, look at him getting all relaxed & lazy and resting against the chair.
goldies are such great ‘cuddle partners’ aren’t they!

  3. What a sweet face! What a gorgeous fur coat! What sturdy, huge feet!! With your experienced TLC Kobe will be prancing the neighborhood, chasin’ squirrels and lovin’ on somebody needful in no time. Way to chose that foster home, Kobe. ~ Rex (as typed by Momma)
