Foster Kobe-Day 18

Our foster Kobe is coming up on his 3rd week with us and now enjoys hanging out on the patio, as long as we keep him company. This week we made progress on a nasty ear infection Kobe has been battling. He was so good at the vet’s and the staff was completely smitten with him by the time we left.

While Kobe enjoys riding in the car, he is still not keen on going for walks, unless it’s a walk inside a building. He enjoys shopping at the local pet shop, which is a good outing for him and of course he loves to get a new toy or treat as well.

Kobe LOVES food and his favorite place is the kitchen. He does a little dance when it’s dinner time and even though he’s very enthusiastic, he eats his food very politely. Despite his food obsession I have managed to teach him to sit before he eats and to “leave it” with cookies.

Kobe asleep in the morning sun after having a good chomp on a chewie….

Kobe is a complete velcro dog and needs his people near, so he would be best suited to a home where someone is home during the day or in a situation where he could go to work with his people. This would be a benefit to both Kobe and the workplace (recent studies have proven, well-behaved dogs in the workplace reduce stress and increase productivity.) He has been coming to work with me for the past week and is extremely well behaved.

Here’s Kobe trying to get even closer to me (which makes it difficult to get his picture:)…watch out for slobber!

  1. The photo of him sleeping on top of his chewie is priceless. It looks like he is guarding it from burglars. I do that with my chocolate :)
